This Thursday 26th November sees the start of Cockpit Makers Market! Like many others we at Cockpit are going online to try to reach those of you who would usually be enjoying the open studios in real life at this time of year!
In preparation I have been updating the website and adding new pieces to the Shop. I’ve added prices to pieces in the Jewellery section – usually more of a gallery space, and given instructions on how things can be ordered or if they are available to buy now. I am aiming to do a full update next year to make a clear and cohesive site. In the meantime I hope I have made things a little bit clearer.
I have signed up to one of the online tours, so if you would like to take a vitual studio tour with myself and 3 other statement jewellers, then follow this link.
I will also be introducing my new project Faraway Faces in a live Instagram video. This is a project started during the first lockdown exploring the importance of relationships and human contact. Manifesting in linear sculptural pieces I have been using my folding and forging techniques to create simplified faces, each relaying some aspect or feeling of lockdown life. Date to be confirmed as yet, but I look forward to sharing with you some of the thoughts and processes behind this body of work.
If you would like to make an appointment for a personal virtual shopping experience where I can talk you through the work I have for sale then get in touch anytime. My final order date for guaranteed Christmas delivery is Thursday 17th December.
