Using signature techniques of folding and forging square wire Ellen Monaghan creates precious jewellery inspired by architecture, the human form and lines within nature. Linear designs accented with colourful gemstones play with the space around the body, embracing concepts of adornment and interaction.

Based in the coastal village of Cley-next-the-Sea in North Norfolk, Ellen works from the well known gallery and workshops of Made in Cley, creating sculptural jewellery using traditional goldsmithing techniques.

Ellen studied jewellery design at the Sir John Cass School of Art & Design graduating in 2006. Since then she has exhibited at Goldsmith's Fair, British Craft Trade Fair, MADE London and galleries nationwide. She is a member of the Craft Council Directory, and in 2018 recieved the Award for Excellence from The National Association of Jewellers. She recently moved back to the area she grew up in Norfolk, having worked for the last few years from the renowned Cockpit Studios in London.
